Job Summary:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and supportive Intervention Specialist to work with students who require extra support. As a key member of our team, you will provide targeted support in small-group settings to help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Intervention Strategies: Plan and deliver specialist Intervention strategies to support lower-level learners and students with autism.
- Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and programmes of study.
- Collaboration with School Staff: Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
- Student Support: Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Professional Development: Participate in relevant school activities, meetings, and professional development.
- One-to-One Support: Provide 1:1 support to students when needed.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Safeguarding: A strong commitment to safeguarding students.
- Behaviour Management: Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
- Experience: Proven experience in working effectively with children with SEN, ASD, ADHD or SEND.
