About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our team at Aperta Care Ltd. As a Behaviour Support Worker in Schools, you will play a vital role in supporting the personal care and well-being of clients in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Personal Care and Support: Assist clients with daily living activities, including dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and using the toilet.
  2. Mobility and Physical Support: Help clients with mobility and physical disabilities, including incontinence and the use of personal aids and equipment.
  3. Community Support: Accompany clients on outings, such as trips to the cinema or shopping, and support their participation in community activities.
  4. Sick and Terminally Ill Clients: Provide care and support for clients who are temporarily sick or terminally ill, including bed nursing and help with feeding.
  5. Mental and Physical Activities: Engage clients in mental and physical activities, such as talking, reading, writing, hobbies, and recreation.
  6. Household Tasks: Assist with household tasks, including making and changing beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes, and general tidying.
  7. Tracheostomy and PEG Care: Support clients with tracheostomy care, PEG care, and other complex health conditions.
  8. Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve light meals, clearing away and washing up.
  9. Reporting and Review: Read and write reports, and be involved in clients' reviews and training activities.
  10. Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all Aperta Care Ltd's policies and procedures at all times.
  11. Reporting Changes: Report any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client to the Case Leader or Care Manager.
  12. Client Independence: Encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.
