GSL Education is pleased to present a rewarding opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor to join our dedicated team in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will engage with students who need extra assistance in managing their behaviour, aiming to help them reach their utmost potential. This position entails creating and executing individualized behaviour plans, as well as collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer customized support to students facing behavioural difficulties on an individual basis.
  • Design and apply effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Assess and monitor students' development, modifying support strategies as necessary.
  • Partner with teachers to incorporate behaviour support into classroom settings.
  • Establish constructive relationships with students, promoting trust and respect.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to update them on student progress.
  • Collaborate with external organizations and professionals to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive educational environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in mentoring or supporting children or young adults.
  • A solid understanding of behaviour management practices and methodologies.
  • The ability to remain composed and patient in challenging circumstances.
  • A sincere commitment to assisting students in overcoming obstacles to their learning.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related discipline are advantageous but not mandatory.
