Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Procurement team as a Trainee Buyer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of materials and supplies for our construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to start their career in the construction industry. You will be given comprehensive training by a senior member of the team and will have the opportunity to progress into a Buyer role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate prices and prepare tender packs for procurement projects.
  • Participate in the implementation of our procurement strategy and develop our regional supply chain to meet business demands.
  • Provide market-competitive and innovative procurement solutions that demonstrate best overall value for money.
  • Procure materials within budgets and on time to progress works on site.
  • Produce monthly budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site.
  • Identify potential new suppliers and monitor our supply chain to ensure it meets our business needs.
  • Resolve disputes and account queries between suppliers and our company.

Requirements:

  • You will have a construction qualification or 1-2 years of buying/construction experience.
  • You will be ambitious, self-motivated, and eager to develop a career in the construction industry and specifically in procurement.
  • You will have the ability to drive to our office.
