We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Procurement Specialist to join our team in the construction industry. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Procurement team on multiple residential construction schemes across the UK.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating prices, conducting tender analysis, and preparing tender packs to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Participating in the implementation of the Materials procurement strategy and developing the regional supply chain to meet business demands.
  • Providing market-competitive and innovative procurement solutions for the trade, demonstrating best overall value for money.
  • Procuring materials within budgets and on time to progress works on site.
  • Producing monthly budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site.
  • Identifying potential new suppliers and monitoring the supply chain to upgrade suppliers to preferred status when necessary.
  • Resolving disputes and account queries between suppliers and the company.

Requirements:

  • You will have a construction qualification or 1-2 years of Buying/Construction experience.
  • OR you will be qualified to A-Level/College standard and have a keen desire to work in the construction industry.
  • You will be ambitious, self-motivated, have drive, and be eager to develop a career within the construction industry and specifically Procurement.
  • The ability to drive to the office is essential.
