About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Procurement team as a Trainee Buyer. As a Trainee Buyer, you will assist the Procurement team in negotiating prices, analyzing tenders, and preparing tender packs for multiple residential construction schemes across London and the Northern Home Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and Analyze: Negotiate prices and analyze tenders to ensure best overall value for money.
  • Procure Materials: Procure materials within budgets and on time to progress works on site.
  • Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement the regional supply chain to suit business demand.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site.
  • Supplier Management: Identify potential new suppliers, monitor the supply chain, and upgrade suppliers to preferred status when necessary.
  • Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes and account queries between suppliers and the company.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Construction qualification or 1-2 years of Buying/Construction experience, or A-Level/College standard with a keen desire to work in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Ambitious, self-motivated, drive, and eager to develop a career within the Construction Industry and specifically Procurement.
  • Travel: Ability to drive to the office near Waltham Cross.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: Basic salary up to £30,000.
