Position Overview

We are expanding our Installations Team to address the growing demands of our business.

We are seeking a Field Installation Technician, someone who is willing to travel across the UK as necessary, including overnight stays. If you possess experience in the construction sector and are looking for a career with a reputable organization that offers excellent advancement opportunities, this position may be ideal for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Installations Team. Based primarily in the field, you will be working on customer sites with occasional visits to our branch.

As a Field Installation Technician, you will collaborate closely with Installation Supervisors. Teamwork is crucial for this role; effective communication and collaboration with your colleagues are essential to successfully complete tasks. A positive mindset and integrity are equally important. Your responsibilities will include installing pipework and assisting drivers with the loading and unloading of vehicles. Given the physically demanding nature of this role, a good level of fitness is required to perform daily tasks.

Health and Safety are of utmost importance in this position, and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. You will be working on construction sites where potential hazards exist. It is essential to manage your own safety while being vigilant about the safety of those around you.

Flexibility is essential for this role, as you will participate in a call-out rota and may be required to work overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek. This flexibility provides an opportunity to earn competitive overtime rates.

Key Responsibilities:

You will embody and promote the company's mission and core values, ensuring a consistent approach to installations across the UK. Adherence to our SHEQ policies and procedures is critical, focusing on best practices. You will be responsible for managing your own site safety and contributing to the safety of all personnel on-site by following the installation methodology communicated to all staff and clients prior to commencing work. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential, and you will assist with vehicle loading and unloading, verifying against documentation for any discrepancies.

This role requires a safety-critical medical assessment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Aptitude for working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety protocols.
  • Ability to adapt and approach challenging situations positively.
  • Flexibility in working hours and availability for on-call duties.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work away from home.
  • Possession of a valid Full UK driving license.

Preferred:

  • Holder of a construction Skills CSCS card.
  • National Water Hygiene Card.
  • Forklift truck operator certification.
  • Understanding of temporary and permanent pumping solutions.
