TalentHawk is looking for a skilled Security Systems Field Technician to become a vital part of our client's Physical Security Team in the UK. This role is dedicated to safeguarding Critical National Infrastructure assets through a combination of physical and cyber security measures aimed at deterring, delaying, and detecting potential security threats and vulnerabilities. The position entails significant travel, with a focus on collaboration at the client's Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for experienced technicians to join a dedicated team responsible for the service, maintenance, and installation of a variety of security systems, including:

  • Monitored Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, both analogue and digital
  • Centralized access control systems
  • Public Address and intercom systems
  • Video analytics technologies
  • Electric and acoustic fencing solutions
  • Intruder alarm systems
  • Security lighting, including both white and infrared options
  • Supporting infrastructure such as servers, UPS systems, and electrical wiring

The technician will provide support across various regions, including the North, Central, South West, London, and the South East of England. A valid UK driving license and the capability to travel within these areas are mandatory. The role also includes participation in an on-call standby rota after receiving the necessary training and authorization.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Essential:

  • Proven knowledge and recognized qualifications in security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems.
  • Experience in service management and stakeholder engagement, particularly with third-party suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure or crisis situations while making informed decisions.
  • Strong literacy and report writing capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions.
  • Full UK Driving License.

We encourage candidates with backgrounds in security service and installation or locksmithing with security installation experience to consider this opportunity.

Additional Information

  • This role is part of the Field Force Team, focusing on the maintenance of physical security systems at various sites.
  • The primary focus is on repair, maintenance, and small upgrades rather than new installations.
  • Familiarity with Gallagher systems is advantageous, although training will be provided.
  • Security field qualifications, such as Competent Person accreditation, are beneficial.
  • A clean driving record is essential, and candidates must pass necessary security clearances.
  • A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided, along with a daily allowance for meals during overnight stays.
