About the Position

We are expanding our Installations Team to accommodate the growing demands of our business.

We are seeking a Field Installation Technician, ideally located in the Birmingham area, who is willing to travel throughout the UK as necessary, including overnight stays. If you possess experience in the construction sector and are eager to build a career with a respected company that offers excellent advancement opportunities, this position may be ideal for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Installations Team. Based primarily in the field, you will also have occasional visits to our branch.

As a Field Installation Technician, you will collaborate closely with Installation Supervisors. Teamwork is crucial for this role; effective communication and collaboration with your colleagues are essential to successfully complete tasks. A positive mindset and integrity are equally important. Your responsibilities will include installing pipework and assisting drivers with the loading and unloading of vehicles. Given the physically demanding nature of this role, a good level of fitness is required to perform daily tasks.

Health and Safety are of utmost importance in this position, and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. You will be working on construction sites where potential hazards may exist. It is essential to manage your own safety and remain vigilant about the safety of those around you.

Flexibility is essential, as you will participate in a call-out rota and may be required to work overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek. This presents an opportunity to earn competitive overtime rates.

Key Responsibilities:

You will embody and promote the company's mission and core values, ensuring a consistent approach to installations across the UK. You will consistently adhere to our SHEQ policies and procedures, focusing on best practices. You will be responsible for managing your own site safety and contributing to the safety of all personnel on-site, ensuring that installations are completed in accordance with on-site RAMS, identifying risks, and implementing stringent control measures.

You will work safely according to the installation methodology communicated to all staff and clients prior to commencement. Maintaining cleanliness and organization on-site, in the yard, and workshop areas is essential. You will also assist with loading and unloading vehicles, verifying paperwork, and addressing any discrepancies.

This role requires a safety-critical medical assessment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Must demonstrate the ability to work on construction sites and possess a solid understanding of on-site safety. Adaptability and a positive attitude in challenging situations are necessary. Flexibility in working hours and availability for on-call duties are required. A current Full UK driving license is mandatory.

Preferred:

  • Holder of a construction Skills CSCS card
  • National Water Hygiene Card
  • Forklift truck operator certification
  • Understanding of temporary/permanent pumping solutions
