Job Title: Wellbeing Support Worker

Kibble is seeking a Wellbeing Support Worker to join our team and contribute to improving outcomes for adult survivors of childhood abuse across Scotland.

Job Purpose:

The Wellbeing Support Worker will play a vital role in supporting survivors to manage the practicalities of independent living, including housing, tenancy, welfare, benefits, debt management, employment, cooking, and eating well. The successful candidate will work closely with survivors to develop a support plan, provide regular check-ins, and help them acquire daily living skills required to enjoy a safe and healthy life.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with survivors to discuss their needs and develop a support plan to help them manage community living and connections.
  2. Regularly review and monitor the support plan with the survivor, ensuring the support required reduces over time and helping them to eventually live independently.
  3. Support survivors in acquiring daily living skills, such as cooking and eating well, and help them access services in their community, such as registering with a doctor or dentist.
  4. Encourage survivors to take an active part in activities within their community and contribute to reviews as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, where appropriate.
  5. Support the development of wellbeing practices, link with local services, and manage independent living.
  6. Link survivors to support groups/organisations in their community and help them attend, where practical.
  7. Assist with the completion of statistical returns and provide information for report writing as required by the funding team.
Requirements:
  1. Experience of working with vulnerable people or providing care/support to those in need.
  2. Ability to relate to survivors and build and sustain relationships with them.
  3. HNC in Social Care, SVQ Level 3 in Care, or equivalent, or the ability to undertake the HNC and SVQ Level 3 Social Care.
  4. Registration with the SSSC, who are the workforce regulator, within their applied timeframes.
  5. Ability to participate fully in mandatory training.
  6. Possession of a full driving licence and willingness to drive provided transport.
  7. Flexible approach to work, including shift work, to support the needs of survivors.
Benefits:

Kibble offers a range of benefits, including pension, holidays, enhanced sick and maternity pay, and employee benefits such as long service recognition, cash4health, credit union, employee assistance programme, free parking, and free meals.
