Key Responsibilities:- Administer all financial matters under the contract, including assessment of monthly valuations, certificates, and drafting instructions.
- Provide expert commercial advice to the Project Manager and Client.
- Engage with the wider contract administration team to agree and resolve commercial matters with the Contractor.
- Attend regular meetings with the Contractor and Designer to discuss project progress and financial implications.
- Assess the Contractor's monthly applications and advise the Project Manager on recommended payments.
- Prepare and issue payment notices to the Contractor.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and Programme Planner to determine the financial impacts of accepted Compensation Events.
- Review the Contractor's subcontracts and advise the Project Manager on acceptability.
- Review performance data from the Contractor and advise the Project Manager on overall performance.
- BSc / BEng (Hons) or similar in Quantity Surveying.
- Significant work experience within the Highways sector.
- CSCS Cardholder and Driving Licence.
- Ability to work within a team providing commercial support to the Project Manager, Supervisor, and wider team.
- Able to form good working relationships with the Contractor's Commercial Team.
- Ability to use the Contract to enable the Client's Objectives to be delivered.
This is a hybrid role, allowing for flexible working arrangements. A minimum of three days will be required on site, with two days discretionary working remotely depending on commercial and day-to-day requirements.
