About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD). As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of children and young people, and their families.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with local universities and other organizations to support the development of postgraduate training and research opportunities.
Requirements
  • A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and across agencies.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, including those with severe, chronic, and enduring mental health concerns.
  • Experience of providing teaching and training, and contributing to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
