We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Brand Manager to join our dynamic team at Proof Drinks, a leading independent drinks distributor in the UK. As a Brand Manager, you will be responsible for managing and promoting our super-premium gin brand, Brockman's, ensuring its successful integration within our company and market presence across the on-trade and off-trade channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Management: Oversee and manage the brand, understanding its unique value proposition, target audience, and market positioning within the on-trade and off-trade sectors.
- Annual Brand Planning: Collaborate with brand owners and internal departments to develop the annual brand plan, incorporating market insights, sales forecasts, promotional strategies, and distribution goals.
- Brand Strategy Implementation: Execute the annual brand plan, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and initiatives across the on-trade and off-trade channels.
- Sales and Distribution Support: Work closely with our sales team to provide sales materials and promotional support, ensuring strong brand representation and consistent messaging to drive customer engagement and increase sales volumes.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with brand owners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, timely communication, and alignment of objectives.
- Trade Marketing Initiatives: Develop and execute trade marketing initiatives, including trade promotions, merchandising programs, and brand activations, tailored for both the on-trade and off-trade channels.
- Brand Performance Evaluation: Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics, such as sales volume, distribution, and return on sales across both on-trade and off-trade channels.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage brand marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to targets.
- Brand Compliance and Guidelines: Ensure compliance with brand guidelines across all marketing and promotional materials for both on-trade and off-trade channels.
- Industry Networking: Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences within the on-trade and off-trade sectors to stay updated on market trends and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Brand Manager in the drinks industry or a related field, with gin or super-premium drinks brand experience preferable.
- Strong understanding of the UK drinks market, including the on-trade and off-trade channels, key trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent knowledge of brand management principles, marketing strategies, and trade marketing practices within both the on-trade and off-trade sectors.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with brand owners, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a focus on driving brand growth, increasing sales volumes, and achieving targets within the on-trade and off-trade channels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey brand messages and marketing plans effectively.
