About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Manager to join our dedicated team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving our sustainability initiatives and reducing our carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy management strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely rebilling of tenants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement energy reduction action plans, focusing on utility cost, consumption, and carbon reduction.
  • Lead on energy infrastructure projects, including the development and delivery of action plans, plant surveys, and design specifications.
  • Manage and oversee the Combined Heat and Power plant, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Develop and implement energy management systems, strategies, and policies within the organization.
  • Engage with staff on people-focused energy reduction initiatives, promoting a culture of sustainability.

Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or Energy-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Post-graduate level knowledge in energy management or a related field.
  • Significant experience in energy management, with a strong understanding of building services and centralised plant.
  • Experience of managing energy legislative programs, including UK ETS and EPBR.
  • Development and implementation of energy management systems, strategies, and policies.
  • Experience of utility contracts, tariff negotiation, and budget setting/management.
  • Good understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Guidance and Standards.
