About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Events Marketing Specialist to join our team at GB010 Marsh Corporate Services. As an Events Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of a variety of events, including seminars, webinars, sponsorships, round tables, corporate hospitality, conferences, networking events, and dinners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of events, including establishing aims, objectives, and requirements, venue sourcing, proposal writing, and budget management.
  • Collaboration with the marketing team to produce attendee lists, event invitations, and registration sites.
  • Ownership of individual events budgets and invoicing.
  • Liaising with stakeholders and the wider marketing team to deliver all aspects of the event, including agenda development, speaker sourcing, event collateral, merchandise, social media, and follow-up plans.
  • Management of vendor relationships and negotiation.
  • Organisation of logistics, including booking catering and AV.
  • Attendance at events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Post-event follow-up and measurement of return on investment in conjunction with the marketing team.
  • Day-to-day management of corporate hospitality assets.
  • Providing advisory services to the business areas to ensure events best practice, efficient delivery, and consistency of approach across all events.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in event management across a range of events.
  • Previous experience in a professional or financial services environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience of using client relationship management systems, such as MS Dynamics.
  • Good working knowledge of event venues in the UK.
  • Knowledge of managing corporate hospitality assets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented and highly motivated with a proven record of collaboration.
  • Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours and travel for events within the UK on occasion.
