College Support Worker Welfare Assistant

About the Role:
R&V Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate College Support Worker Welfare Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students, colleagues, parents, and other professionals in our college community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their well-being and academic success.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining student records and communicating with parents and guardians.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support student welfare.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive support network for students.
Requirements:
- Care Certificate or willingness to work towards it.
- Health & Social Care Diploma Level 2 or 3 or willingness to work towards it.
- Appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy to undertake the role.
- Experience in the health and social care profession.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to create positive relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualities:
- Awareness of the importance of equity and opportunity for students to prepare for and access fulfilling lives as young adults.
- Awareness and empathy with special school leavers, parents, and carers, and the opportunities necessary for individuals to fulfill their potential.
