Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our Facilities Division at Lancaster University as a College Porter. This is a full-time position working an average of 42 hours per week on a 24-hour shift rotation, with a shift allowance and contractual overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
  • Assisting with portering duties, including moving furniture and equipment
  • Supporting the maintenance and upkeep of campus facilities
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the role

Requirements:

  • GCSE level in Maths and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
