We currently have a vacancy for a college porter on our main Bailrigg Campus within the Facilities Division at Lancaster University to cover a temporary absence. The position is full time working an average 42 hours per week on a 24 hour shift rotation. The post attracts a shift allowance and contractual overtime. Due to the fact that you will be covering a temporary absence the post will have an initial end date of 6th January 2025 but this is flexible. 

You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and possess excellent customer service skills. Portering experience is not essential but desirable with experience of working in a similar environment. You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also have a willingness to undergo development training.
