This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Support team at Lancaster University as a Student Support Officer (Welfare). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive welfare support to students, ensuring their well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual information, advice, and guidance to students on academic and personal matters.
- Assist with maintaining and overseeing the 'under 18' welfare policy and procedures to ensure students under 18 feel safe and supported.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide reports as required by the Senior Management team.
- Assist with the arrival and registration of students, as well as delivering presentations on various topics.
- Respond to basic information requests regarding accommodation provided by INTO.
- Work with the Student Services team to deliver an inclusive social program for students.
- Promote and support the INTO Centre and the business in a positive manner.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is approachable, has excellent communication skills, and can deal with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
You will have strong observational skills, problem-solving abilities, and be committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults.
