About the Role

In the capacity of a Bid Manager at Ridge, you will spearhead the Bid Team, tasked with seizing business prospects by proficiently overseeing the preparation, execution, and follow-up of bids, tenders, and proposals. This role involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders, crafting persuasive content, and leading submissions aimed at securing new business. The Bid Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth, innovation, and client satisfaction through strategic bid management and teamwork with internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the Bid Team in the London office
  • Manage the comprehensive bid process from initiation through to submission
  • Handle complex, multidisciplinary bids
  • Establish internal budgets for each bid and report on actual expenditures
  • Develop bid briefing documents for stakeholders outlining client requirements, project specifics, key deliverables, and timelines
  • Coordinate the assembled bid teams and contributions from key stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to milestones and deadlines within the bid process, including management of action logs and deliverables
  • Organize pertinent meetings with relevant parties to ensure alignment with deadlines
  • Review bid documents prior to submission to guarantee compliance with client specifications and internal quality assurance processes
  • Gather feedback on submitted bids and integrate lessons learned into future submissions
  • Utilize materials to promote the Ridge brand and demonstrate added value for clients
  • Assist in enhancing the bid management process within Ridge and challenge existing methodologies
  • Maintain client communication throughout the tender period alongside the Partner lead, ensuring all post-tender requirements are addressed efficiently and promptly
  • Support Partner leads in managing existing frameworks and identifying new opportunities
  • Aid in the preparation and delivery of client presentations as necessary
  • Maintain a tracker for bid pipeline and submissions
  • Report on bid KPIs and success metrics
  • Manage social media for the London office and collaborate with the central Marketing team
  • Create internal presentations
  • Update and maintain event trackers
  • Participate in London office management meetings

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven management experience with the ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Capability to engage and influence a variety of key stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in preparing and submitting public sector bids within the construction or professional services sectors
  • Demonstrated effective bid writing skills
  • Familiarity with AI tools
