About the Role

We are seeking a qualified nurse or paramedic to join our team as a Forensic Custody Nurse or Paramedic. This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a new career path in an ever-changing environment, with exceptional training and career progression opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality healthcare services to detainees in custody suites, working alongside the police to ensure their physical, mental, and wellbeing needs are met.
  • Assess detainees' fitness to be detained or released, administer medications as needed, and gather forensic samples for police investigations.
  • Work with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records on computerized systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualified nurse or paramedic with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Essential qualifications include RN, RGN, or dual RMN/RGN Nursing, Paramedic, HCPC/NMC PIN, and a valid driving license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work in various custody suites and locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering gold-standard care.
