Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Alvaston Medical Centre. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our practice.

Main Duties
  • Assess and diagnose patients with acute and chronic conditions, providing definitive treatment and making referrals as necessary.
  • Undertake home visits for acute illness or chronic disease management, providing patient-centered care and promoting self-management.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, integrating drug- and non-drug-based methods, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve standards of care, participating in clinical meetings and contributing to practice development.
  • Provide education and training to colleagues, promoting clinical leadership and expertise.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Qualified paramedic or specialist paramedic registered with the HCPC.
    • 2 years post-registration experience in General Practice.
    • Health Promotion and evidence of recent updating in primary care.
  • Desirable:
    • Working with SystmOne and experience in GP practice.
    • Non-medical prescriber and 2 years experience working in primary care environment.
