SQL Database Developer Opportunity

Oscar is seeking an experienced SQL Database Developer to join their team in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is a great opportunity to work with a busy data division and contribute to the development of a large SQL Estate.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with one day a week in the office. The team is responsible for the upkeep and development of the SQL Estate, and the successful candidate will be working closely with the Data Lead to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and optimization of stored procedures
  • Use of SSIS for data transformation and integration tasks
  • Database housekeeping, including tuning and indexing
  • Knowledge and oversight of associated business systems running on each SQL server
  • Supporting database design, creation, and testing activities
  • Updating tables with information as per changes
Requirements:
  • Good database skills within a MS Environment
  • Good programming skills and knowledge of stored procedures
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, and reporting tools such as PowerBI or SSRS
