About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Admission Avoidance Team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 or Band 7 therapist with experience in acute medicine to make a real difference in patient care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex caseload, utilizing advanced clinical reasoning to support multidisciplinary assessments and intricate discharge planning strategies aimed at preventing hospital admissions.
  • Collaborate effectively with other Band 7 Therapists and Nurses within the Admission Avoidance Team to ensure seamless operations and continuous team development.
  • Provide comprehensive assessments as part of a seven-day service, facilitating timely discharges and minimizing admissions from Accident & Emergency and associated short stay units across the hospital.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members and students within the team, contributing to their professional growth.
