Thornbury Community Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate adult nurse to join our team in delivering high-quality care and support to young adults with complex needs in a community-based setting.
About the Role
We are looking for a female adult nurse with a minimum of 12 months of experience in complex care to work with a young adult with an acquired brain injury. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ventilation, gastrostomy care, and bowel management, as well as experience with mechanical cough assist and chest physiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and support to young adults with complex needs in a community-based setting
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and training to clients and their families on complex care skills and techniques
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to complex care
