About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Registered Nurse to join our team as a Lead Nurse, providing specialist care to a young service user with complex needs.

The successful candidate will play a key role in training and supervising a team of Healthcare Assistants, ensuring they have the skills to manage the service user's clinical needs, including tracheostomy care, ventilation management, and enteral feeding.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to keep staff up-to-date with best practice guidelines.
  • Delivering clinical training and identifying training needs.
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and attending key meetings as required.
  • Completing risk assessments and care plan reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Paediatric Nursing, with experience in tracheostomy care and a willingness to work flexibly across Monday to Sunday.

As a Lead Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of our service user and their family, while delivering exceptional care and support.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Current NMC PIN - Paediatric Registered Nurse.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexibly across Monday to Sunday.
  • Tracheostomy Care experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ventilation management, enteral feeding, bowel management, intermittent catheterisation, nebuliser care, and cough assist.
  • Knowledge of Spinal Injury care, Acquired Brain Injury care, and seizure management.
