Lead Nurse Opportunity in Leominster

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Paediatric Registered Nurse to join our team as a Lead Nurse in Leominster. This is a part-time, permanent role offering a competitive pay rate of £37.00 per hour, equivalent to £46,176 per annum, based on 24 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to ensure staff are up-to-date with best practice guidelines.
  • Deliver clinical training and identify training needs to ensure the team has the necessary skills to manage complex care interventions.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and attend key meetings as required.
  • Complete risk assessments and care plan reviews to ensure the highest standard of care.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be involved in hands-on care, auditing and transcribing of paperwork, checking and ordering of stock, and accompanying the service user to scheduled appointments.

Essential Requirements
  • Current NMC PIN and Paediatric Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle and ability to flexibly work across Monday to Sunday.

Desirable skills include experience with ventilation management, bowel management, cough assist, and knowledge of spinal injury care, acquired brain injury care, and seizure management.

The successful candidate will be required to accompany the service user to specialist appointments, which may involve overnight stays away from home on occasion. Hotel costs will be covered, and a contribution towards travel and meals is available.
