We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, school-based interventions to children and young people, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk assessments to identify the needs of children and young people, and develop tailored interventions to address these needs.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Provide leadership and support to colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC, BPS, BABCP).
- Substantial experience in delivering low-intensity CBT treatments and working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including children, young people, parents, and professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
