Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a dynamic SEN school in Havering, London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide support to children with mild to moderate SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Global Delay, Communication and Social interaction issues, and mild behaviour issues.

Responsibilities include working with small groups of children on a 1:1 basis to ensure progression in their learning, providing a calm and interactive approach to ensure children feel motivated during lessons, and promoting progression and celebrating the small wins.

Requirements:
  • Recognised Speech and Language degree or equivalent (desired)
  • BSL Degree or equivalent (desired)
  • Good knowledge of SEN
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Passion for working with children with SEND
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to work well as a team and on own initiative
