The Role

We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with SEND, ensuring a personalized approach to learning.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teachers, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behavior, encouraging students to develop essential life skills and values.
  • Prepare and organize learning materials and resources, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning experience.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers and contributing to the development of effective learning strategies.
  • Support students during school activities, outings, and events, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices, including strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the development of effective learning strategies and supporting the needs of students and staff.
