Learning Support Assistant

Opogo is a leading education staffing agency dedicated to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We partner with schools to ensure every child receives the care they deserve.
The RoleWe are seeking committed SEND Teaching Assistants to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. As a member of our team, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons for students with SEND.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
- Support the social and emotional development of students.
- Help manage classroom behavior.
- Prepare and organize learning materials and resources.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers.
- Support students during school activities, outings, and events.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge and insight of SEND methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
