The RoleWe are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons for students with SEND.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teachers.
- Support the social and emotional development of students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers.
- Support students during school activities, outings, and events.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
