Job Title: Director of Community Engagement

Job Summary:

Blackheath High School GDST is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the delivery of an exceptional admissions experience. As the Director of Community Engagement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer journey across our Junior and Senior schools, from initial inquiry through to registration and enrolment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract high-quality applicants across all entry points, working closely with senior figures to drive admissions growth.
  • Plan, organize, and lead events to showcase the unique educational offer at Blackheath High School, highlighting our strengths and values.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with local feeder schools, partners, and stakeholders within the GDST network, fostering a collaborative and supportive community.
  • Manage a database and leverage digital and social media platforms to enhance the admissions experience and promote the school's brand.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Admissions Department to ensure a professional, friendly experience for prospective parents and pupils.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in admissions, customer experience, or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including parents, pupils, and staff.
  • Experience with database management and digital marketing tools, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines with ease.
