Allegiance Group, a well-established construction firm based in the region, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Cost Manager to manage project costs and contracts effectively across a range of projects.
The Senior Cost Manager will oversee the financial and contractual management of various projects, ensuring costs are controlled and deadlines met. This role involves working closely with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality results within budget and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
- Provide cost estimates, valuations, and financial reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead tender processes, including cost analysis and contract negotiations.
- Oversee subcontractor payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contracts and legal standards.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and align costs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Cost Manager on commercial and high-end residential projects.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- Chartered status or working towards RICS/CIOB.
- Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts and UK construction standards.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, CATO).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
