Job Title: Intervention Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join our team to deliver a range of interventions in a KS1/KS2 setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work alongside the Class Teacher to identify gaps in children's learning and plan interventions accordingly. This will involve building relationships with children, having a calm and nurturing approach, and planning and delivering engaging lessons to ensure children achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to identify areas of need and plan targeted interventions.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to small groups of children, focusing on specific skills or subjects.
  • Assess and record children's progress, providing feedback to the Class Teacher and parents.
  • Support children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs, using effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Good understanding of the KS1/KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
