Role Overview: As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will engage in a blend of psychosocial and clinical interventions. This position is perfect for nurses eager to expand their expertise in caring for high-risk adults with intricate needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored interventions and support for individuals dealing with substance use challenges as part of a comprehensive recovery strategy.
  • Collaborate with various professionals and agencies to ensure effective planning and delivery of nursing care.
  • Promote the health and well-being of clients while maintaining a secure, compassionate, and therapeutic environment that minimizes risks.
  • Adhere strictly to policies and procedures related to service delivery.
  • Conduct initial health assessments, including evaluations of mental health and substance use history.
  • Design, implement, and assess care programs that meet the unique needs of each patient, including detailed plans for transition and discharge.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in urine/saliva testing, interpret results accurately, and report any unexpected findings to the senior nurse on duty.
  • Perform risk assessments with a focus on adult and child safeguarding issues.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality clinical assessments and treatments to individuals with substance dependencies. You should possess the ability to provide exceptional nursing care and interventions while showcasing leadership qualities.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong assessment skills, particularly in risk evaluation.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and safe storage practices, including controlled substances.
  • A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Nursing (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with a valid NMC Pin.
