Role Overview:
The Senior Non-Medical Prescriber will play a crucial role in optimizing the utilization of staff and resources. This position involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care and fostering a culture of continuous learning and service enhancement. The successful candidate will ensure that patients are assessed and admitted based on their clinical requirements, adhering to relevant clinical protocols and policies while implementing evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee comprehensive assessments for patients with substance misuse challenges, ensuring improved access to treatment programs within the prison population.
- Manage a specialized prescribing service for substance misuse, providing nursing guidance to colleagues in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans for referred patients.
- Ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning back into the community, in alignment with local and national guidelines.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional clinical assessments and treatments for individuals with substance dependence. You should possess strong leadership qualities and a flexible, proactive approach to your work, committed to providing outstanding care to our clients.

Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the substance misuse field at a Band 6 level.
- Proficiency in SystemOne, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- A solid understanding of the substance misuse sector.
