The Senior Non-Medical Prescriber will play a crucial role in optimizing the utilization of staff and resources while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.

The successful candidate will oversee the provision and evaluation of exceptional nursing care, fostering a culture of continuous learning and service enhancement. This includes ensuring that patients are assessed and admitted based on their clinical requirements, adhering to relevant clinical protocols and policies, and applying current evidence-based practices.

Additionally, the post-holder will be responsible for implementing and monitoring thorough assessments for patients with substance misuse challenges, ensuring improved access to treatment and psychosocial programs for all individuals in need, and facilitating continuity of care upon discharge.

You will lead a specialized substance misuse prescribing service, providing nursing guidance on substance-related issues to colleagues involved in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans for patients referred to this specialized service.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality clinical assessments and treatments for substance-dependent individuals. You should demonstrate a commitment to high standards of nursing care and interventions, showcasing leadership capabilities. A flexible and proactive approach to work is essential, as is a dedication to providing exceptional care to our clients.

~ Proven ability to coordinate clinical and managerial supervision with strong organizational skills.
~ Proficiency in SystemOne, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
~ In-depth experience and understanding of the substance misuse sector.
~ Minimum of 2 years' experience in Substance Misuse at a Band 6 level.
~ Valid NMC Pin.
~ Revalidation appraisal online portfolio, including a journal subscription.
