Ochre Bio is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Computational Biologist to join our In Silico Biology team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of advanced RNA medicines for chronic liver disease.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the advanced modelling squad within the In Silico Biology Team, driving the development of novel target recommendations and validating them in models.
- Maintain strong domain knowledge of leading 'omics' and 'big data' computational methods, driving experimental design and modelling of deep phenotyping and/or omics data.
- Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to develop and implement data-driven solutions, leveraging Python/R for data analyses and visualisation.
- Develop and maintain pipelines in a cloud computing environment, ensuring automation, reliability, and scalability of data processing workflows.
- Contribute to documenting processes and code, presenting research updates to project teams and management.
- Support the development of a data-driven culture, contributing to training initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- PhD in computational biology or related field.
- Experience in delivering results in a fast-paced environment, preferably in biotech/pharma industries.
- Strong experience in developing and modifying statistical and ML models for 'omics datasets.
- Experience in leading projects involving multiple stakeholders, end-to-end.
- Experience in leading people and delivering through others.
- Familiarity with pipelines/reproducible scientific workflows development.
