Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager of Global Procurement, you will be pivotal in overseeing the complete Source to Contract process for indirect procurement. You will collaborate closely with the Global Supply Chain Management and Chief Procurement Officer to implement effective sourcing strategies that align with category objectives. Your expertise will guide the preparation and execution of key components within the sourcing and contracting process, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that achieve sustainable cost savings, enhance service quality, and mitigate risks.
  • Create category strategies that reflect customer needs, market dynamics, and supplier capabilities.
  • Lead the execution of new sourcing initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Renegotiate supplier agreements to optimize terms and conditions.
  • Finalize sourcing initiatives within a legal framework to minimize risks and ensure performance monitoring.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to enhance service quality and identify value-added opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, understanding their evolving needs and objectives.
  • Oversee R&D expenditures in collaboration with Contract Manufacturing Organizations.
  • Manage the Analytical Reference Standards project, including stock control and supplier interactions.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend actions to address significant cost impacts.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate procurement records and data.
  • Support the resolution of pricing inquiries in collaboration with the Accounts team.

Candidate Profile:

We seek candidates with a minimum of five years of experience in direct and indirect procurement within operations. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • MCIPS certification.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including SAP and Power BI, along with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical R&D procurement and related services.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a track record of leading procurement initiatives.
  • Negotiation experience for delivery agreements and SAP Ariba implementation.
  • A comprehensive understanding of GMDP and quality compliance across various regions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
