Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager of Procurement Operations, you will be pivotal in overseeing the complete Source to Contract process for indirect procurement. Your role will involve collaborating with Global Supply Chain Management and the Chief Procurement Officer to implement sourcing strategies that align with category objectives. You will lead the preparation and execution of key elements in the sourcing and contracting process, ensuring best practices and compliance throughout.

The Supply Chain Department emphasizes continuous improvement, enhancing systems, and creating efficiencies, contributing to a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement procurement strategies aimed at sustainable cost reduction and quality enhancement.
  • Develop comprehensive category strategies based on market analysis and supplier capabilities.
  • Lead new sourcing initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
  • Renegotiate supplier agreements to ensure competitive terms.
  • Finalize sourcing initiatives within a robust legal framework to mitigate risks.
  • Foster relationships with key suppliers to enhance service performance and identify value opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, understanding their evolving needs.
  • Oversee R&D expenditures in collaboration with Contract Manufacturing Organizations.
  • Manage the Analytical Reference Standards project, including stock control and supplier requests.
  • Monitor market trends that could impact procurement costs and recommend actions accordingly.
  • Maintain procurement data and documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accurate supplier pricing and resolve any pricing discrepancies.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of five years of experience in operations and service procurement across direct and indirect categories. Additional qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
  • MCIPS certification.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including SAP and Power BI, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical R&D procurement and project management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with SAP Ariba.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GMDP and quality compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork.
