Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a rewarding opportunity within the administration team of the Acute Care Division, focusing on enhancing the patient flow operations.

We seek a dynamic and adaptable individual with outstanding interpersonal abilities to elevate patient experiences and outcomes. A strong commitment to NHS objectives and proficiency in spreadsheet applications will be beneficial.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, assisting in the management of patient pathways and ensuring timely collection and entry of data for national reporting systems. You will also coordinate and participate in meetings, working closely with clinical teams to guarantee that all necessary information is accessible to drive improvements in patient flow.

The ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively, to devise solutions and enhance processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the senior leadership team within the Acute Care Division, ensuring that deadlines are met efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating with relevant personnel to arrange necessary logistics.
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures to ensure all documentation and data entry adhere to best practices.
  • Engaging with the public, external agencies, and internal staff through various communication channels, analyzing queries, and determining appropriate responses.
  • Organizing internal and external venues and travel arrangements in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Attending meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on action items as required.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely publication of information for diverse audiences through various media.
  • Maintaining up-to-date databases and monitoring deadlines for information requests.
  • Building and nurturing effective working relationships across the Trust and with external organizations.
  • Supporting the management of patient flow for acute care patients and collaborating with the team to identify areas for service enhancement.
