About the Role:

The Facilities Management Specialist will be responsible for coordinating planned and reactive maintenance to M&E, as well as general HVAC systems and fabric maintenance. This role encompasses the installation and maintenance of essential services and equipment found in all Beaumont Business Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical fault-finding, single & three phase power, UPS, pumps, motors, BMS systems, air handling & fan coil units, water chillers, water treatment, boilers, lifts, lighting, and security systems.
  • Proven experience in property/building services management
  • Strong IT and administrative skills
  • Build and grow a team of in-house engineers to support the day-to-day facilities functions of the business.
  • Work closely with centre management and senior operations teams to support and advise on required steps for all facilities-related matters.
  • Develop the preventative maintenance regimes for all building elements – mechanical, electrical, public health, and building fabric.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and oversee contract terms for all PPM services including negotiating prices to ensure we stay within set budgets by identifying facilities efficiencies and potential cost savings.
  • Coordinate with contractors and closely manage subcontractors to ensure quality work is delivered in line with SLA's, POs, and prior to work being signed and invoices being paid.
  • Review installation plans and specifications to ensure that they deliver what the building/project needs.
  • Advise the Projects team on the coordination of services within the overall building design.
  • Test and check installations.
  • Ensure jobs meet building regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Advise on how the building services will operate once a building is complete.
  • Ensure subcontractors are closely managed and that all terms and conditions are adhered to.
  • Manage small fit-outs, renovations, and refurbishments along with the centre management or project teams.
