About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Wigan. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to children and young people with mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct therapeutic interventions, including assessments, formulation, and therapeutic input, to children, young people, and families referred to the service.
  2. Undertake risk assessments and care plans in line with the THRIVE framework.
  3. Work sensitively with children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Screen referrals to children and Young People services, including urgent referrals.
  5. Participate in the team's duty rotas.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Mental Health Practitioner with a strong background in CAMHS. Essential qualifications include registration on the NMC register and current NMC registration. Desirable qualifications include post-registration training in the relevant field, leadership/management training, and experience of mentorship, supervision, and coordination of staff.
