Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Speech Therapist to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist speech and language therapy support to infants and families on our neonatal units.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage early communication and feeding challenges associated with prematurity and health conditions in neonates.
  • Work closely with neonatal consultants, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based care.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support infants and families.
  • Conduct assessments, differential diagnoses, and management of dysphagia and other communication disorders in neonates.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.

Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
  • Registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience working with neonates and infants, and/or children with complex needs.
  • Knowledge and experience of dysphagia assessment and management to highly specialist level.
