We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Sister to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Deputy Sister, you will play a key role in supporting the Ward Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing, with a minimum of 2 years' experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5. You will be responsible for supporting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day running of the unit, including leading the team and making decisions in their absence. You will also be expected to provide mentorship and teaching to junior colleagues and students.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Ward Manager in the day-to-day running of the unit
- Lead the team and make decisions in the absence of the Ward Manager
- Provide mentorship and teaching to junior colleagues and students
- Develop and implement plans to improve patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Registered nurse Adult or Child qualificationQualified in Speciality (Neonates), ENB 405 or equivalentMinimum 2 years post-registration experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5Evidence of Neonatal Advanced Life support trainingExperience of mentorship/teaching for trained and untrained staffWhat We OfferWe offer a range of benefits, including:
