Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Sister to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing and excellent leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will support the Ward Manager, working closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of a high standard of care for babies and families.

They will take charge of the ward in the absence of the ward manager and provide leadership to junior colleagues and students within their area of work.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered nurse Adult or Child qualification
  • Qualified in Speciality (Neonates), ENB 405 or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years post registration experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5
  • Evidence of Neonatal Advanced Life support training
  • Experience of mentorship/teaching for trained and untrained staff
