Deputy Sister Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Team Lead to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Neonatal Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our unit.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Ward Manager in promoting a high standard of care for babies and families
- Work closely with all disciplines to ensure effective teamwork and communication
- Take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager and provide leadership to junior colleagues and students
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and unit performance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and patient flow
- Registered nurse with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care
- Qualified in Speciality (Neonates), ENB 405 or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5
- Evidence of Neonatal Advanced Life support training
- Experience of mentorship/teaching for trained and untrained staff
- ENB 997/8 or relevant teaching qualification
- Participation in leadership programme eg Leo or Chrysalis
- Experience of project work as lead or active participant
- Excellent verbal communication skills with all members of the healthcare team, colleagues, parents, and carers
- Ability to motivate others and work effectively in a team
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate work effectively
- Flexibility to work over seven days per week, to support the delivery of a 24-hour service
