We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Sister to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Deputy Sister, you will play a key role in supporting the Ward Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing, with a minimum of 2 years' experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5. You will be responsible for supporting the Ward Manager, working closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of a high standard of care for babies and families. You will also take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager and provide leadership to junior colleagues and students within your area of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Ward Manager in the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Work closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of a high standard of care for babies and families

Requirements
  • Registered nurse Adult or Child
  • Qualified in Speciality (Neonates), ENB 405 or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years post registration experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5
  • Evidence of Neonatal Advanced Life support training
  • Experience of mentorship/teaching for trained and untrained staff
