Job Title: Highly Specialised Neonatal Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced speech therapist to join our neonatal services team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist speech and language therapy support to infants and families on our neonatal units.

The successful candidate will have a recognised speech and language qualification, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and have experience working with neonates and infants with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To deliver high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to infants and families on our neonatal units.
  • To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
  • To assess and manage feeding and swallowing difficulties associated with prematurity and health conditions.
  • To communicate effectively with patients, their families/carers, and the multi-disciplinary team.
Person Specification:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A recognised speech and language qualification (degree or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience working with neonates and infants with complex needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.
  • Good presentation skills, verbal and non-verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a good team member as well as to work independently and manage own caseload.
Salary and Benefits:
